CIVIL AND STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING FIRM – HOEL ENGINEERING LTD. HAS CHANGED ITS OPERATING NAME TO KYLE ENGINEERING
We are excited to announce that we have changed our operating name to:
KYLE ENGINEERING
In 1959, Mr. Erik Hoel founded a sole proprietorship which later became Hoel Engineering Ltd. Erik’s son Jan Hoel became a partner in 1978. Jan assumed control of Hoel Engineering Ltd. upon Erik’s passing in 2010. After many successful years in business, Jan Hoel appointed Edward Kyle as his successor in 2018. With Edward’s knowledge in both Civil and Structural Engineering, the company was able to take on projects with both civil engineering and structural engineering aspects, which proved invaluable to clients as we were then able to ensure a smooth transition and understanding between the interaction of these two disciplines. Edward continued to manage the firm before acquiring most of the shares in 2020. In 2023 Edward took full ownership of the firm and rebranded the company as Kyle Engineering.
The new name and logo reflect a new era for our organization built on a solid foundation. We will continually strive to progress towards a brighter future while honoring our past and those before us.
While our name is changing, our legal status and contact details will remain the same. Our office remains at 40 Cadillac Avenue, Victoria, BC, however we have recently renovated and moved from suite 2B to suite 1. We look forward to welcoming you to our new offices.
The company’s business remains fundamentally unaffected by this change and all contracts with existing customers will remain unaltered, with corresponding obligations and rights assumed under the new name.
