Hoel Engineering Ltd regrets to announce the passing of Erik Hoel, who was our companies founding father. Consequently, his kind-manner and practical engineering skills are needed elsewhere. Everyone who knew him will miss him .
In 1959, Erik established his own engineering firm in Victoria. At this time, he performed structural and municipal/civil engineering, and designing wastewater treatment and disposal systems. During the late sixties, in association with Fritz Schultze, Architect, Erik was responsible for the design of approximately 60 larger condos and housing units in the Victoria area, including the first high-rise apartment building in Victoria.
